ABOUT WHISKY STORIES

Hello, I’m Graeme Kilgour. Founder and Host of Whisky Stories.

I am not a ‘whisky expert’ and will never claim to be one. I’m a whisky fan, drinker, and a general consumer. I’ve been the host of the Whisky Stories Podcast since October 2023. And absolutely love the people and stories behind whisky.

I’ve worked in hospitality and creating experiences for years through sport, and now whisky. Hosting people and creating memorable experiences is what I love doing. And whisky helps me do that.

Whisky has been in my family and I grew up hearing stories from my grandfathers maltings in my home town Kirkcaldy. My father worked for the family business and that’s how he met my mother when he was buying the barley from her parents farm.

Whisky Stories started out as three lads in the back room of a pub in Edinburgh, drinking whisky and recording a podcast. It’s now one of the largest whisky podcasts with a community that spans around the world.

We’ve interviewed some of the biggest names in the industry. Master Blenders, distillery owners and founders, brand ambassadors. We’ve collaborated with brands, visited distilleries, hosted live events, and been given access to whisky I never thought I’d ever taste.

What the podcast has really taught me is that whisky is about people. People buy from people, share whisky with people, and tell stories with people over a dram.

So whether you’ve tried Scotch Whisky before, you’re visiting Edinburgh, or you’ve got a cupboard full of it at home and want to experience something different, I’ll have a whisky experience for you.

We said on episode one of the podcast; ‘There’s no such thing as bad whisky. Only bad company.’

Let’s make some whisky stories.
